Dover Street Parfums Market

Founded in 2004 by Comme des Garçons creative director Rei Kawakubo and her husband Adrian Joffe, Dover Street Market‘s first flagship store in London sent shockwaves across the planet and instantly gained a global fan base with its exceptional multi-brand format and highly evocative and continuously evolving interior design. Over the following two decades the satellite flagships have sprung in the planet’s leading fashion capitals and most popular shopping destinations, except for Paris.

Well, that has now changed. Today, the doors of Dover Street Parfums Market have officially opened to discerning noses. Similarly to other Dover Street Market outposts shopper can indulge in multi-brand offerings, but as its name already implies, here it’s exclusively about perfumes, cosmetics and make-up. Obviously, not just any brand, but à la DSM, every brand and item has been carefully selected and displayed to evoke the ultimate shopping experience.

The Dover Street Parfums Market store is tucked away in a little side street in the Marais. The interior design is simple yet as always playfully irreverent, and sees an open space dotted predominantly with pillars with egg-shaped shelving carved within.
