Briggs Hillier Takes Part in Manchester Metropolitan University’s ‘Future Me Week’

As part of Manchester Metropolitan University’s ‘Future Me Week’, an initiative running from 20th-24th January that offers new experiences to help students “become career, life, and future-ready”, the university hosted ‘Design Futures: Networking for Creative Employment’ – a one-day workshop that Briggs Hillier were kindly invited to take part in.

Attended by students from across the design courses provided by the university, the workshop brought together professionals from across the design industry, poised to offer a wealth of invaluable information and advice, and answer any questions that students may have about a career in the design industry.

Representing Briggs Hillier was Operations’ Manager and a long-term collaborator with universities across the midlands and further afield, Lucy Moore, and Senior Designer, Harry Hogg, who graduated from Huddersfield university six years ago.

Following initial introductions, Lucy and Harry joined the students at their tables for more intimate discussions that would offer invaluable insight into the retail design industry, and how the students could prepare themselves for a future career within this field.

Speaking after the event, Lucy Moore commented: “It was a privileged to be invited to join this event, representing the Midlands, to share my insights to the next generation of designers! It was amazing to see so many students from the Manchester School of Art, eager and passionate to understand how they can prepare for after graduation and entering the industry!”
