The Weave Project
To celebrate London Fashion Week, and following the success of Chubby Cloud, accessories designer Anya Hindmarch has created The Weave Project, an immersive art installation that you can crawl through.
Taking place over four days until Tuesday 19 February at Brewer Street Car Park, it will feature The Tube, an art piece created by artists collective Numen/For Use. The Tube is constructed from woven mesh that creates an oscillating structure that you can climb through to experience the structure from unexpected and surreal angles.
The Weave Project was inspired by the designer’s SS19 Neeson bag which will be launched globally to coincide with the installation. This updated version of one of the designer’s most recognisable styles is a lightweight woven tote that takes several days to make.
The experience also includes the Weave Project café and a concept store which will offer one-off Weave Project merchandise alongside the new SS19 Neeson collection. During the installation, and at a series of pop-ups in Anya Hindmarch stores customers will be able to personalise the Neeson with hand-woven symbols, words and initials.
